Final Show of the Year - FCCQ October 16 / 2016
Only 1 other Tonk on the bench in Adult-Shorthair class, competing with Byron & Bailey, while Bryce & Skye competed as the only 2 tonks in Kitten class.
Byron won 'Best of Breed' in 3 of the 4 rings and 'Reserve Best' in the 4th. ring. Byron was placed in the Top-Ten in 3 of the 4 rings (9th, 9th. & 8th Best of breed)
Bailey won 'Best of Breed' in the remaining 1 of the 4 Rings, and also scored a 'Reserve Best' in two rings.
Bailey was placed once (6th. Best of Breed)
Young Bryce, was the hero of the day for us, beating his sister Skye for 'Best of Breed' in all of the 4 rings.
Bryce was placed in the Top-Ten in all 4 rings (7th, 6th, 5th, & 4th )
Skye was placed in the Top-Ten 3 times; (10th, 10th. & 9th.).
A bitter sweet day though as Bryce left us for his new home after the show, however I'm proud we got to show him and to see him shine on the showbench !

Spring & Sunshine - FCCQ September 18 / 2016
Another day of great show results for Team Anniesong ! .... A large number of Tonks on the bench today and Byron & Bailey were up against 4 other adult tonks in Adult-Shorthair class, and debuting on the showbench were siblings Bryce & Skye competing with 6 other Tonks in Shorthair-Kitten class.
Byron won 'Best of Breed' in 2 of the 4 rings and 'Reserve Best' in a 3rd.
Byron was placed in the Top-Ten in 3 of the 4 rings (8th, 5th. & 3rd)
Bailey won 'Best of Breed' in the other 2 of the 4 Rings,
Bailey also scored a 'Reserve Best' too. Bailey was placed twice (5th. & 3rd)
Skye did outstandingly at her first ever show and was so well-mannered, beating all 7 kittens for 'Best of Breed' in 3 of the 4 rings.
Skye was placed in the Top-Ten 3 times also (8th, 6th & 4th)
Bryce was 'Reserve Best of Breed' in one ring,
Bryce was placed once in the Top-Ten (6th) .....
So once again 'Team-Anniesong' won 7 of 8 rings for Best of Breed !! ... and did us proud. With so much variation in Tonkinese 'type' seen on the bench, and being outnumbered by USA/Burmese-infused Tonks, it is wonderful to receive such validation for our program and to know we are truly on the right track with what we breed !

So another great show run by FCCQ today @ Springwood ! .. Team Anniesong did us proud once again.
Today, it was the girls' day, with the stand-out being young Piper, who was awarded Best of Breed / Adult in 3 of the 4 rings, and all 3 judges each placed her 4th. in the Top-Ten.
In the remaining Ring Storm took out Best of Breed and was placed 7th in the Top-Ten.
Byron was thus beaten by the girls in all 4 rings.
Over in kitten class, Bailey was the sole Anniesong representative and was competing with 3 others.
Bailey won Best of Breed in 3 of the 4 Rings, and a 10th in the Top-Ten. .... So all in all 'Team-Anniesong' won 7 of 8 rings !!

Touch of Class Cat Club - All Breeds Cat-Show May 15 / 2016
'Team Anniesong' did us proud with Bailey being the stand-out on the day. Piper & Bailey were up against 5 other Tonkinese kittens in the ring and had a shaky start in ring-1, with Piper only scoring a 3rd. Best Tonkinese Kitten.
Bailey then went on to win 'Best Tonkinese Kitten' in all 3 remaining rings, including under the US Judge.......
In the adult ring Storm, Amba & Byron were the only adults entered but there were no other Tonkinese disappointingly, Byron was awarded 'Best Tonkinese Cat' in 3 of the 4 rings, with his Mum Storm collecting the remaining title. In the 'Top Ten' - Bailey was awarded 3 placements.
Byron was awarded 3 Top-Ten placements.
Storm was awarded 2 Top-Ten placements, and also won a coveted Special Judges Award.
Thrilled with the comments from judges... referring to the 'lovely balance' of my tonks ..... Anniesong Tonkinese were the only Tonks that were placed in the Top-Ten (8 times) - All in all - a great result from a great day !

Feline Control Council of QLD - 4 Ring Cat-Show April 24 / 2016
All in all it was a fantastic day on the show-bench for the Tonkids, Each of them had their own successes and did us proud.
Storm & Byron-Boy were the only adult Tonks there disappointingly, and Byron-Boy beat his mum in 3 out of 4 rings.
In the Top 10, Storm was awarded; 2 x Top-Ten placements, Byron was awarded; 3 x Top-Ten placements.
In the kitten ring there were 5 x Tonk kittens competing..... and inspite of her back-chat to the judges Bailey was a star on the day, winning 'Best Tonkinese Kitten' in 2 of the 4 rings..... and in the Top 10, she was awarded; 3 x Top-Ten placements.
Piper won 1 'Best Tonkinese Kitten' in one of the remaining rings and although she wasn't placed in earlier rings, Piper then went on to win Reserve Best Kitten in the final ring - a great end to a great day on the bench.

Feline Control Council of QLD - All Breeds Show March 6 / 2016
This Show marked our return to the show-bench, after we'd taken most of last year off from showing due to my health. It was also the show-debut of Anniesong Byron and Anniesong Bailey who had both yet to experience the show-bench for the first time. Bailey was only 14 weeks, and Byron-Boy, getting close to 9 months old, this was to be his first and last kitten class entry.
In the kitten ring there were 6 x Tonk kittens competing..... Both of our show kittens were very well-received by the judges and behaved well for newbies - and as they were up against 4 other tonk kittens in the ring (including Piper), we were anxious to see how they would perform on the day.
In Adult class, Leia was disqualified during the second ring, due to the judge deciding that Leia was pregnant (she wasn't), but did achieve a placement (4th) in the Top-Ten.
Floyd did particularly well and ended up winning 4 Top-Ten placements.
Amba was awarded 2 placements.
In summary a great and promising start to the show year ! - Anniesong is Back !!!
